Please contact us for more information.
Payment Plans
Payments plans are also available through FACTS, a management
company committed to enhancing the financial stability and affordability
of educational institutions. Please contact us for more information.
Step
2: Set Up a Volunteer Period
If you are applying for an apprenticeship, we ask that you come
and spend 1 week with us to work with apprentices on community
projects. By working full days with apprentices for this time,
you can decide if the community is right for you, and we will
be better able to evaluate you as an applicant. We understand
that setting aside a week from your busy schedule to visit the
'Shop can be difficult--please contact
us to discuss different options.
You may also use an internship as your volunteer period if you
can't wait to start building. We will call you to set up your
volunteer time or internship.
Step 3: Admission
Once an applicant has completed the volunteer period, we discuss
candidacy as a community. After discussion, apprentices and staff
vote on whether or not the volunteer should be admitted to the
program. We will send you a response soon after the vote.
Step 4: Holding Your Spot
If you are accepted and would like to become an apprentice, we
as for a $1,000 deposit to hold your spot. If we do not receive
this deposit, you are still offered an apprenticeship for the
year in consideration, but other applicants who send in their
deposit may fill the program.
