Thousands
of apprentices, interns, and volunteers have come through the ‘Shop

and the world who are a deep and knowledgeable resource for those
coming out of our programs They have hailed from most of the states
in the U.S., Canada, Italy, France, Norway, Germany, The Maritimes,
England, Russia, Japan, Sweden, Mexico, Denmark, Columbia, Finland,
and Switzerland.
Graduates have gone on to work for themselves in their own boatbuilding
shops as well as becoming craftsmen and women and educators for
highly respected companies and organizations, educators, and researchers
for traditional boat projects from the Azores to Sardinia to Russia.
Many graduates have also worked on historic projects such as Sultana
and Amistad.
Resource database
A project is in the works to collect information regarding the apprentices
who have come to the Apprenticeshop. Our goal is for this to be
a resource for past, current and future students.
We are always interested to hear what past students are up to—so
please contact us and let us know where you are. A survey is available
for anyone wishing to share with us.
