Connecting Boat Building with Maine's Maritime Heritage

Our students and their families, our volunteers, donors, trustees, friends and our staff are proud to belong to the Atlantic Challenge community. Year-round programs present opportunities for both youth and adults to develop care and skill with their hands in the Apprenticeshop. Our students' connection with the maritime heritage of Maine is strengthened with hands-on experience in the Community Sailing and Seamanship Program. Our graduates have grown to become teachers, boat builders, and dedicated community members who demonstrate our success far beyond Maine's horizon.
