staff has more than 100 years of experience in boatbuilding and
seamanship, and brings a passion for maritime trades and heritage
to the organization.We can be reached in the offices and the 'Shop
Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., so please stop by, give

Warren

Warren’s career
has been devoted to Maritime and Experiential Education. He has
sailed as master of a number of sail training vessels including
Bill of Rights, SSV Westward, and Spirit of Massachusetts. He
joined Atlantic Challenge in 2002, inspired by its unique environment
and history. He has also served as course director and senior
instructor for the Hurricane Island Outward Bound School and as
consultant to maritime education programs.

Stockinger

Eric
joined AC in June 2007. Eric's background includes a degree in
Fisheries and Wildlife Management from Michigan State University
and 7 years of business/personell management with REI. As a graduate
of the Apprenticeshop and a long-time cabinetry and furniture
maker, Eric brings his sense of fine woodworking to the Shop floor.

Kevin
Carney

Kevin has been teaching boatbuilding since 1987. After graduating
from VA Tech with a degree in design, Kevin moved to Maine to
pursue an education in traditional boat building--at the Apprenticeshop
in Bath, Maine. He also studied at Yacht Design, Inc. and worked
for nine years as a professional boat builder before returning
to The Apprenticeshop as lead instructor.

Brian
McClellan

Brian joined the Shop in late January 2008. A 2002 Shop graduate,
he has spent the last 6 years building boats internationally.
Most recently, Brian worked in Indonesia conducting boatbuilding
trainings and overseeing the production of fishing boats for the
victims of the 2005 tsunami. The first 24 years of his life was
spent far from the sea in Kansas where he studied math, computer
science and physics as an undergraduate at Mid-America Nazarene
University and began graduate work in architecture at the University
of Kansas.

Cullen
Teel

Cullen joined AC in late February, 2006. He earned a degree in
Hydrology and Water Policy from UC Santa Cruz while serving as
harbor assistant and instructor for their waterfront programs.
Boat deliveries and racing led Cullen to obtaining his captain's
license which has allowed him to work with various non-profit
and community sailing education programs including Outward Bound.
He also spent time doing marine construction and salvage work.
Originally from Washington State, Cullen moved to Maine most recently
from Florida with his fiance Hannah, their daughter Auren and
son Noah.

Linda
Pierpont

Linda came to AC in the summer of 2007 to coordinate the 44°
Latitude Art for Sail fundraiser. She has over 30 years experience
in non-profit and academic administration, most recently at Harvard
Medical School. Linda currently lives in Jefferson in a 200 year
old farmhouse and is looking forward to learning how to sail.

Mary Ellen joined AC
in mid-April of 2008. A graduate of Mt. Holyoke College, Mary
Ellen brings extensive office experience working in small non-profits
and similar education institutions on Cape Cod.
