Artist's
Statement:
"This is a wimsical response
to the very first impression the rudder made on me. I liked
its obvious shore bird shape and didn't want to mess with
it too much. I also loved the existing textures of old paint
and old wood so I tried to keep it simple and while transforming
the rudder to something else retain the object's tie to
the ocean."
