Bio:
Buckley Smith, a self-taught artist, was born in Los
Angeles in 1947 into a family of creative energy and
three generations of Hollywood Art Directors. Fantasy
and the certainty that one can do anything were honed
at an early age. Today these qualities are what set
Buck apart in the art world.

Statement:
Buckley Smith has always loved the soaring nature of sails.
In Da Vinci Downeast, he invites us to fly with him in a
boat aloft,sailing in a da Vinci style flying machine to
the heavenly places of our imagination. As a rule Buck always
uses found materials for his 3 dimensional art. He is very
practiced at making the familiar a little mysterious, hope-filled
and exciting. Settle back serenely and soar!
