Bio:
Biography of Ms. Coyle as imagined by her Second Grade
Class at Derby Academy:
Ms. Coyle is married to Beethoven and is related to
Michelangelo. She is famous around the world. She is
the first art teacher to make art fun. She has won a
medal for the slam dunk, raises 20 golden retrievers,
and is an excellent boxer. She lives in the Museum of
Fine Arts and Grandma Moses is her best friend. On Friday
she is having lunch with Monet in his garden.

Artist's
Statement:
This sculpture is constructed of the
stem piece of a boat and the ears are toy boats. This figurehead
is made to rock on its stand and can be removed from the stand
to be fit into the corner of a room in the home. It is made
to be touched and rocked.
