Artist's
Statement:
I love the combination of marlin twine and weathered
wood. Reminicent of my first ocean sailing experience
(Kaui to San Pedro) when I was 21.
The vessel is hollow, the long thin body included. It
is meant to be touched as well as visually observed.
The piece is modeled after an old tiller that was too
warped to be drilled. The twine is found.
