Sailing and Seamanship
These courses will allow students to learn the basics of sailing
while enjoying the comfort of a keelboat. Each day will begin
with brief shore side lessons introducing students to basic sailing
theory, and nomenclature. The rest of each day will be spent on-the-water
utilizing hands-on teaching techniques. On-the-water topics will
include safety, sailing theory, boat handling, sail handling,
right of way, docking and more. No prior sailing experience
needed.

Sailing
These
courses begin with a review of the fundamentals learned in Basic
Sailing and Seamanship. It will begin with a review of the basics,
progressing to the introduction of advanced sailing theory and
techniques. Other topics will include seamanship, sailing technique,
crew work, man overboard drills, docking, mooring, and anchoring.
Prerequisite: Basic Sailing and Seamanship, equivalent experience,
or instructor permission.

Keelboat
This
course builds from the skills and techniques covered in the Intermediate
Sailing course and we will introduce the basics of navigation
and weather forecasting, spinnaker work, and cover sailing efficiency
on all points of sail.
