Junior
high and high school sailors practice twice a week and compete
in local regattas with other sailors from all over New England.
No experience necessary.
The
team currently includes students from Rockland, Georges Valley,
Camden Hills, Medomak Valley, and the Watershed Community High
Schools. The team holds 10 practices and attends regattas in the
spring and fall. In 2004, the team competed against sailors from
all over New England in two regattas in Portland. Scholarships
are available. The club holds skill-building sessions focusing
on sailing knowledge, racing tactics, and boat-rigging.
$100 for the season
(due at registration) or $10/practice
